– Discussion about the evolution of organizational ‘culture’ in the professional domain.
– Sharing viewpoints about cross-cultural management.
– Introducing students to Intercultural field and provide some professional
viewpoint.
– Explaining the future, it holds for students in this field. - Career opportunities:
– Explaining to students about possible career opportunities in Intercultural field.
– Development of Intercultural competencies.
– Examples of currently available types of jobs in this field and the task affiliated to them.
– Guidance to possible career paths.
– Practical advice on where and how to search for internships, what to emphasize in CVs/cover letters and during interviews, how to use networking - Project Management, HR, and Consultancy:
– Explaining to students about these fields with professional examples.
– What are the possibilities of getting into these sectors?

Career Development
- What is looked for in an intercultural CV? Specifically, how do you market social competencies? In a CV, how do you address intangible experiences and skills, which are not quantifiable, such as social intelligence, transdisciplinary acumen, international living, cross-cultural competency, instead of in a cover letter?
- What skills should be highlighted?
- Considering people come from different academic fields, which credentials are truly needed? How important are certifications/licenses, such as Cultural Detective, etc. ?
- How to formulate your personal brand?
Opportunities in the Intercultural Field
- Where are the needs and opportunities for Interculturalists?
- How important is a niche for an interculturalist?
- Consulting: boutique vs. large agencies vs. freelance
- Out-of-the-box careers or industries (eg. sports, video gaming, pharmaceuticals)
- Considering paradigm shifts, which are the foundational skills now? Which skills are needed in the future?
Networking via social media
- Concrete intercultural examples of how you use social media such as LinkedIn, XING and Facebook for career development and advancement.
- What is the value of professional organizations (SIETAR, IDM, Center for Intercultural Dialogue etc)? What other organizations are out there?
- How to find and use platforms to inform ourselves about paradigm changes and continuing development?
